Caritas – Egypt celebrated its 50th anniversary of establishment in Egypt, by raising the thanksgiving at the Divine Liturgy, on Sunday, November 26, 2017, presided over by His Holy Beatitude our Father Ibrahim Isaac, Patriarch of Alexandria for the Coptic Catholics, at the Cathedral of Virgin Mary in Nasr City, Cairo …

His Beatitude, Bishop John Caolteh, Patriarchal Vicar participated at the Liturgy, and the Patriarchal Vicar of the Roman Catholic Archbishop George Bakr, and the rule of Father George Shihan, Archbishop of Cairo Maronite Church, and the illustrious Father Gabriel, representing His Beatitude, Father Mounir Hanna, Bishop of the Episcopal Church in Egypt. He also took part in the celebration of His Holiness Bishop Martyrus, Bishop of Eastern Churches, as a representative of the Coptic Orthodox Church. The ceremony was a tribute to most of the secular and monastic figures who contributed to the long Caritas-Egypt march for 50 years.

The ceremony, also, included honoring most of the secular and monastic personalities and entities that have contributed to Caritas-Egypt’s journey throughout the 50 years.. plus some live testimonials from some beneficiaries from Refugees Sector, SETI for Inclusive Education, and Socio-Medical Centers. Hoping for more success and continuity for Caritas – Egypt’s’ role in the Egyptian society…
